Brambles is an exciting and thriving holiday club with the emphasis on ‘fun’. We can take up to 30 children from reception to the end of year 6 (4 to 11 years old).
Brambles’ Holiday Club operates during every Thorns school holidays. Our planning follows the government’s ‘Every Child Matters’ framework and is topic-based. The topics for each school holiday can be found on the booking form posted on this website before each holiday. For further information please contact Emma Longstaff. If your child has any suggestions for activities please let us know & we will incorporate them where possible
If your child is unwell, please phone to let us know between as soon as possible (01926 854 486). You will be charged for unattended sessions. If your child has suffered sickness, diarrhoea or a fever, please do not bring them to Brambles for at least 48 hours. We run the same infection control policy as Thorns.
The holiday club opens its doors at 8.00am to welcome children and parents. We have a wide range of activities for the children to enjoy every day including art and craft, games, puzzles, role play, television, computers, a Nintendo Wii and an adult directed activity. We also have a quiet area.
We have snack at 10.00am which we provide. After snack-time we go outside on the play ground and enjoy a range of activities including tennis, football, skipping ropes, hoops, large jenga, bowling, and a parachute.
We have an adult directed activity at 11.00am which is optional for the children. At 12.00 noon we have lunch which we ask parents to provide. After lunch we go outside to play again (weather permitting).
At 2.00pm we have a different adult led activity, as well as free choice of our activities and games.
At 3.30pm we have an afternoon snack which we ask the parent to provide. After snack-time the children are again free to choose what they want to do.
At 5.30pm we ask all the children to start to help tidy up any activities that are not being played with.
Please note that we do limit use of the computers and Wii.
If you wish to join our holiday club please complete the online application form below. If your child is coming to Holiday Club then please ensure you have provided them with a lunch and an afternoon snack, if appropriate. We do allow children to bring their own toys but do not accept responsibility for any loss or damage.

Invoices are issued at the end of the holiday except for Summer Holidays where invoices will be raised on 31st July and 31st August. Payment is due on receipt and can be made directly into our bank account, by Childcare Vouchers or the Tax Free Childcare scheme. We reserve the right to apply an admin fee of £10.00 for late payment of invoices.
We understand that sometimes parents are unavoidably late collecting their children. Please let us know if you are going to be late. A late collection charge will apply and a penalty of £10 will be payable for 3 instances of late collection per half term.
